My first Blog Hop

BoostMyBlogFriday

Making friends is hard!  Once you get out of elementary school and the lure of lunch trading is gone, making friends seems to depend on what you wear and what you do...evidenced perhaps by Glee's portrayal of high school.

I've been noticing that bloggers gain a lot of followers from blog hops and this is because some blog hops have rules...follow this person, this person, and this person.  I've never liked making me people like me -- I've been more of the mutual friendship, something in common kind of friendships.

And that's why I'm so tickled that Design It Chic has created a blog hop with no rules.  Visit and follow the people you want!!

So welcome, linkers from Design It Chic. :-)  Feel free to follow and I'll be sure to check out your blog and comment.  :-)

Have a great day!!

OK, this is strange, but as I am reading your blog post you just commented on mine! Cue odd music...

Anyway, I agree with you on those blog follow things that have SO many rules! I love just finding fun new blogs, like I would think most people would. Glad you found one that's easy, and I will check it out!

Making friends as an adult is hard, but I also notice that I don't place anywhere near as much importance on having friends as I did when it was easier, so I guess everything evens out. Thanks for the link! I'm off to check it out right now.

I agree, I like the 'no rules' approach. I have to say though, even though I'm all about the followers, I prefer those who actually make a conscious effort to say something positive about my post when they come by, rather than the ever popular, Tag! You're It! ....actually, nobody's ever said that, but isn't that nicer than, I haven't read a damn thing you've said, but I'm following you, now you can follow me back. I'm going to read more on your blog. I just saw a post titled Kitchen Kitch, and of course, I want to know what kitch is!
